Park Eye Center is excited to welcome Dr. Krishna Patel, OD!
Dr. Patel takes joy in knowing that she can make a difference by improving someone’s vision. Volunteering to assist with vision screenings as an undergraduate at Rutgers University solidified her interest in optometry and thereafter Dr. Patel received her degree from SUNY College of Optometry.
Her clinical experience includes an externship at Omni Eye Services working alongside ocular specialists and with pre and post-op cataract patients. Working with veterans during an externship at VA Lyons in New Jersey she helped to manage glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, and her internship at SUNY College of Optometry provided valuable exposure to pediatrics, vision therapy, contact lenses, and ocular diseases.
Dr. Patel loves giving back to the community and participated in many vision screenings as a volunteer—including working with the “Opening Eyes” program at the NJ Special Olympics. During optometry school she was privileged to participate in the rewarding experience of a volunteer mission trip to Jamaica to help treat impoverished communities and provide children and adults with comprehensive eye exams.
She enjoys working with patients and building relationships. When she is not in the office, she loves traveling, cooking with her husband, and watching movies with her family.
